Abstract
This program is expected to make the participants
master the program/application of graphic design to create
digital illustrations and apply them in the form of poster media
to convey the desired messages. By mastering the graphic
design, the participants can apply it to their daily lives to make
ideal public communication since the need of graphic design is
closely related to perception, image and communication. The
learning method used in this graphic design workshop was
exchanging knowledge, sharing basic tricks and learn them
directly, which was then realized in the form of head to head
training accompanied by Arts students and Visual
Communication Design students of Faculty of Arts and Design
of UNM who also joined in the graphic design community.
The materials in this workshop covers 1) introduction to
graphic design applications, 2) the practice of making
illustration objects using graphic design applications, and 3)
discussion and question and answer session about technical
matters in designing. The results of workshop show that the
participants are creative and skillful in processing text
information to visually interesting.
