Abstract


Abstract. Teacher Language Style in Teaching-Learning Interaction. This study aims at describing, interpreting, and explaining the teacher language use in the teaching-learning interaction. This study employed critical discourse analysis (CDA). Research data were collected through recording, documentation, field notes, questionnaires, and interviews. The data were analyzed using Miles and Huberman path model. The results showed that the language styles used by the teachers in the teaching-learning interaction are mostly such styles as cynicism,  hyperbolic, sarcasm, and euphemism.

Abstrak. Gaya Bahasa Guru dalam Interaksi Pembelajaran. Penelitian ini bertujuan mendeskripsikan, menginterpretasikan, dan meng-eksplanasi penggunaan gaya bahasa guru dalam interaksi pembelajaran. Jenis penelitian ini tergolong analisis wacana kritis (AWK). Pengumpulan data penelitian dilakukan melalui perekaman, dokumentasi, catatan lapangan, angket, dan  wawancara. Analisis data penelitian  dilakukan melalui model alir Miles dan Huberman. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa bentuk gaya bahasa yang digunakan guru dalam interaksi pembelajaran meliputi: (1) sinisme, (2) hiperbola,  (3) sarkasme, dan (4) eufemisme mendominasi siswa dalam interaksi pembelajaran.
