Abstract


Character learning cares about the environment is a learning that needs to be processed to every student at every level, one of which is junior high school level. One of the containers for learning environmentally caring characters is the extracurricular Youth Scientific Group. This study aims to analyze the development needs of environmentally caring character learning for extracurricular Adolescent Scientific Groups in Junior High School. This research is descriptive research with qualitative approach method. The data was collected in several ways including the dissemination of questionnaires, interviews, and observations. The results of this study show that (1) the material that needs to be taught is limited to aspects of waste management, especially the skill of processing oil into hand soap, (2) the media chosen to be used is video media, and (3) learning is done offline or offline because there are skills that must be taught directly.
