Kontribusi Mindful Parenting Terhadap Self-Esteem Orang Tua

Abstract


Peran orang tua sangat dibutuhkan dalam perkembangan anak. Untuk dapat mendidik anak secara optimal dibutuhkan sikap dan perilaku dari orang tua berdasarkan pandangannya sendiri sehingga dapat melalui pengasuhan secara sadar dan efektif. Penelitian ini ingin menguji kontribusi mindful parenting terhadap self-esteem orang tua. Alat ukur yang digunakan pada penelitian ini adalah The Self-Esteem Inventory (SEI) yang dikembangkan oleh Coopersmith (1981). Sedangkan alat ukur untuk mengukur Mindful Parenting adalah Mindfulness in Parenting Questionnaire (MIPQ) yang dikembangkan oleh  McCaffrey, Reitman, dan Black (2017). Pengumpulan data dilakukan dengan menggunakan kuesioner secara langsung (offline) dan online kepada orang tua yang memiliki anak Sekolah Dasar. Pengambilan sampel pada penelitian ini dilakukan dengan menggunakan metode nonprobability sampling secara spesifik digunakan teknik convenience sampling. Teknik analisis data yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini menggunakan regresi linier sederhana (simple linier regression) yang diolah dengan menggunakan SPSS 23. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa terdapat kontribusi  antara mindful parenting terhadap self-esteem orang tua.
