Abstract


Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendalami pengaruh suhu kolam terhadap performa renang atlet PPLP Papua Cabor Renang. Peneliti memilih menggunakan metode penelitian Eksperimen Randomized Control Trial (RCT). RCT adalah desain eksperimen di mana subjek dipilih secara acak untuk menerima salah satu dari beberapa intervensi. Dalam konteks penelitian ini, perenang akan secara acak ditempatkan di salah satu dari tiga suhu kolam yang berbeda. Populasi penelitia ini menggunaka seluruh atlet PPLP Papua sebagi sampel yang berjumlah 34 atlet. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian eksperimen one group pretest-posttest design. Analisis data menggunakan Uji-t berpasangan atau Wilcoxon signed-rank test, untuk menentukan apakah perubahan skor signifikan secara statistik. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan melalui eksperimen RCT, ditemukan bahwa suhu kolam memiliki dampak signifikan pada waktu renang, dengan setiap suhu memberikan respons yang berbeda pada masing-masing atlet. Hasil ini sejalan dengan literatur sebelumnya yang menunjukkan variasi respon individu terhadap perbedaan suhu kolam. Penelitian kami juga menekankan pentingnya adaptasi fisiologis dan risiko cedera yang mungkin terkait dengan suhu kolam yang tidak sesuai
