Abstract


The main goal of this program was to increase
student competence in terms of computing using the software.
This was intended to facilitate students in doing their
assignments, where they must perform a computational
process that emphasizes the result of a mathematical case. The
constraints faced in general were the lack of internal teaching
staff who could guide the students in a frequent manner. As a
result, many students were unable to use the software properly
for the computing process. Therefore, there was a need for
conducting an educational and training program in order to
overcome this issue. One of which was training in data
processing and analysis using Casio FX 991 ID Plus calculator
software for students. This activity aimed to improve the
ability of students to use the Casio FX 991 ID Plus software.
Specifically, this activity could develop students' ability to do
the computation to solve problems in various mathematical
topics. The results achieved were that the participants were
generally very enthusiastic in following the entire series of
activities. The participants consulted with the presenters/
facilitators of the training if they found problems and things
that were not yet known about the Casio FX 991 ID Plus
Calculator. The result obtained from the training and
independent work was the participants have been able to do
the computing process well. It is recommended that the scope
of the implementation of such training program be further
expanded. In addition, according to the results and benefits
obtained from the implementation of the training, it is
necessary to implement the training for students and the
community, in general, to facilitate them in using Casio FX
991 ID Plus Calculator as a tool for performing computing
processes.
