Abstract
Community empowerment activities on the la-lae
island of Makassar is to train and improve community skills in
processing fishery products and utilizing household waste to
be used as trinkets. Partner problems are Teenage women or
fishermen who do not have a permanent job who every day
only works to help his parents at home and various other
unproductive activities and fishermen mothers who have the
talent to create new jobs such as the processing of fishery
products that are abundant on this island. The solution offered
is training and mentoring related to the manufacture of
trinkets from household waste and abundant fishery
processing on lae-Lae Island. Based on the results of this
activity, then teenage women become skilled in making
trinkets from household waste and can be judged as a source
of livelihood or used for their own purposes. Besides that, the
fishermen mothers also skilled in processing fishery products
which can be used for own needs and sold as a source of
income.
