Konselor sebaya di sekolah: Upaya penanganan masalah pada Siswa SMK Telkom Makassar

Abstract


The aim of this activity is to provide training about
peer counsellors and to form a school peer counsellor
community. The activity was carried out in the form of
training with lecture methods, counselling practices, and
simulations. This training involved 36 representative students
from each class. The material provided starts from the basic
concept of peer counsellors, problems and how to handle them
and basic counselling techniques followed by counselling
practice. The results of this activity showed that the peer
counsellor training activities in SMK Telkom Makassar have
been carried out well with the results of the evaluation score
was in a very good category, meaning that students understand
well the presented materials such as Basic concepts of Peer
Counsellors that discuss the meaning, role, objectives,
principles of peer counsellors as well as the requirements to be
peer counsellors and issues and prevention and finally basic
counselling techniques, which aims to equip participants to
know the basic types of counselling techniques and can be
applied later which ends the counselling practice. Then a peer
counsellor has been established in SMK Telkom Makassar
where the members are the representatives of grade X grade
XI. The established peer counsellors will become the
counsellor agents who help their counselling teachers run the
guidance and counselling services at school.
