Abstract

The PKM program in Bontokanang Village, South
Galesong District, Takalar Regency aims to: (1) increase
knowledge and skills in assembling a converter kit for Gas
Fuel (BBG) kits, (2) increase knowledge and skills in
repairing and maintaining machinery (motorbike) fishing
boats, and (3) increase income of fishing communities. The
methods used include: observation, counseling (theory),
training (practice), discussion, and evaluation. The
participants' absorption of material mastery was good and this
was evident at the time of the training. There were around
90% participants who could assemble the converter kit
properly and it can function as a converter for BBM to BBG.
This training was without significant constraints and could be
implemented according to the expected target. However, in
the engine repair training, only about 60% of participants
managed to diagnose correctly, so that most of the training
participants still had difficulty finding problems or sources of
engine failure. This is reasonable, as in the repair of the
machine it does require a lot of training and assistance.
