Pemenuhan kebutuhan ilmu keterampilan anak panti asuhan sosial di Kabupaten Gowa

Abstract


An orphanage is a social welfare institution that acts
as families in meeting the needs of children in their process of
development. There is a limitation for the orphanage
management take care the children, which is after completing
education at the upper secondary level, they are considered as
an independent human being. Most of the children in
orphanages are interested to work, however they are lack of
basic skills and limited job vacancy make their chance to get a
job even limited. Twenty orphans from Ralia Orphanage and
Ar-Rahmah Orphanage participated in the maintenance and
repair of electrical and electronic equipment training with high
enthusiasm and seriousness. Participants succeeded in
understanding and are able to maintain and repair electrical
and household electronics such as rice cookers, irons,
dispensers, blenders and fans. The effectiveness of this
training in increasing entrepreneurial motivation and skills of
the orphans in maintaining and repairing electrical and
electronic equipment was 89% in Ralia Orphanage and 85% in
Ar-Rahmah Orphanage. The percentage questionnaire results
are at very good category.
