Analisis melalui HOTS (High Order Thinking Skill) di SMPN 3 Bissappu Kabupaten Bantaeng

Abstract


One of the important part of learning process are Assessment. as a process to collect the various information through
determinations of the success rate of process and learning outcomes. In general the ability of Indonesian students is very low in:
(1) understanding complex information; (2) theory, analysis and problem solving; (3) use of tools, procedures and problem
solving; and (4) investigating. That situation needs to be changed in learning system and assessment. The assessment that
teacher developed is expected to encourage the improvement of higher-order thinking skills, increase creativity, and build
students' ability to solve problems. Educational assessment needs to be adjusted to the development and needs in the assessment
of learning outcomes. One of the assessment instruments that can be used is the HOTS (High Order Skill Thinking) based
assessment instrument. The principle of measuring the ability to think at a higher level, where through HOTS-based assessment,
the competence of students not limited to the level of remembering , restate, or recite. Universitas Negeri Makassar as one of the
leading educational institutions and Education Teaching Institutions (LPTK) in Eastern Indonesia, that already has quite
extensive partnerships especially in schools. This Program about to development of HOTS-based evaluation instruments for
teachers of SMP Negeri 3 Bissapu, Bantaeng Regency. The main point of this program are expected would be able to improve
teacher competence in developing media, curriculum and evaluation. Teachers from SMPN 3 Bissapu are the target of this
workshop. The results of this Technical guidance programs on PKM : 1) trains teachers in creating: developing hypotheses,
planning research , developing new products , 2. Evaluate: checking / coordinating / detecting / monitoring / testing, assessing
which method is most suitable for solving problems .3. Analyze: classifying information / phenomena in important parts,
organizing / finding coherence / integrating / outlining / sctructuring, authorship attributing / deconstructing.
