Abstract


The PKM program partner is MGMP Pancasila and Civic Education at Junior High School/ Islamic Junior High school
in Barru Regency. The problems are: (1) sustained professional development for the teachers through formal channels, in this
case like education and training activities with government funding and/or local government frequency is very limited. (2) the
schools do not yet have an ongoing professional development program in a planned and be a part of the school program, and (3)
Subject Teachers’ Consultative Forum (MGMP) is less effective as a forum for teachers' professional competence development,
which is human resources are relatively limited. The target was the Civic Teachers of Junior High School/Islamic Junior High
school in Barru Regency. The methods used were lectures, question and answer activities, and discussion with the Civic teachers
as partners. The results achieved were: (1) The teachers have in-depth knowledge and understanding about the meaning, the
position of the 1945 Constitution of the Republic of Indonesia, and the laws and regulations in the national legal system. (2) the
teachers were able to design learning materials completely and systematically to be taught to the students, especially the material
about the meaning, the position of the 1945 Constitution of the Republic of Indonesia, and the laws and regulations in the
national legal system.
