Abstract

This dedication activity aims to provide counseling on the making of organic fertilizer made from pineapple and eceng gondok (Eichhornia crassipes). This advantage of program is the alternative solution to environmental problems in Lake Tempe and address the problem of scarcity of fertilizer. The focus of the study was to increase the knowledge about organic fertilizers, knowledge about the effects of chemical fertilizers and methods of making organic fertilizers. This research was held in Sabbang Paru District, Wajo Regency and involving 20 housewives. Data analysis using quantitative descriptive methods using Microsoft Excel. Based on the results of the study,  it can be concluded that the level of community knowledge about organic fertilizer, the impact of  chemical fertilizer and organic manufacturing methods increased after participating in counseling activities.
