Abstract


Hypertension is a chronic disease condition that cannot be cured but can be controlled. The incidence of hypertension is increasing throughout the world, including Indonesia, regardless of age, even in adolescence. Patterns of food consumption, especially pokea have been reported to reduce blood pressure, while excess body weight and family health history contribute to the risk of hypertension at a young or young age. This community service aims to provide additional knowledge of risk factors, tackle hypertension and hypertension complications. These community service activities include: conducting health checks and risk factors for hypertension (body weight, height, and body mass index / BMI, family history of hypertension, and consumption patterns of hypertension) for screening for hypertension, health promotion in the form of hypertension counseling. As many as 130 people whose blood pressure was examined, obtained high systolic blood pressure (hypertension) ie above ≥ 140 mmHg asmuch as 1.6%, systolic pressure 130-139 or normal high as much as 13.8%, normal as much as 23.1% and optimal as much as 61.5%. In diastolic blood pressure ≥ 90mmHg as much as 11.6%, pressure 85-89 mmHg as much as 3.8%, diastolic pressure as much as 30.8 mmHg as much as 30.8 mmHg and diastolic pressure <80 mmHg as much as 53.8%.
