Assertive Training bagi Siswa SMK Negeri 10 Makassar

Abstract


Partners of the Community Partnership Program (PKM) are SMK 1o Makassar. The problem is: (1) there are various cases of violations and student conflicts caused by students not having an assertive attitude in interacting at school or outside of school, (2) Assertive Training has not been done through Counseling services. The method used is: lecture, discussion, question and answer, and practice assertive to 30 students. The results of this activity are (1) Provision of Assertive Training carried out by lecturing, discussion and practical methods, with material related to the importance of having an attitude and Assertive nature as a student, the material is explained starting from the basic concept of assertive training, the benefits of being assertive, and various things that must be possessed students in being assertive, then continued with the material Seep Up Communication, playing roles, daring to say no. In the last session the participants were trained to be assertive, dare to say no and the method of communication. (2) Assertive training activities show success in improving attitudes and the nature of assertiveness, communication and self-esteem and courage of students. This is illustrated from the results of the questionnaire analysis and worksheets distributed to participants, where overall students have an improvement in terms of communication well that is to be 85%, then confidence from 55% to 80% they are confident in expressing opinions and information to friends, then 93% of students will sternly reject if there are students who invite bad deeds and self-esteem as much as 95% increase and 80% have the courage to say the truth and will convey or report to the teacher or friend if something goes wrong in school.
