Abstract


This study aims to determine whether through the development of assistive learning media can improve the learning process and the skills of students in rolling learning in front of floor gymnastics. The research method used to answer the objectives of the study was used the class-action research research method. The population in this study were all students of Makassar Public Middle School 24 and the sample in this study was as many as seventh grade students of Makassar Middle School 24 as many as 40 people. The sampling technique is using the Total Sampling technique. The implementation of this class action research consists of 2 cycles with implementation activities consisting of two stages of initial observation activities, planning, implementation, observation, and refraction.Based on the results of the study showed that the description of the actions of the first cycle, the ability of front bolster students of class VII Makassar State Middle School there were 18 students (45%) in the good category, 10 students (25%) in the medium category, 12 students (30%) in the less category , there are no students (0%) in the excellent category, and no students (0%) in the very poor category. The results of the description test in the second cycle, the ability of front bolster students of class VII of SMP Negeri 24 Makassar there were 10 students (83.3%) in the good category, 2 students (16.7%) in the medium category, no students (0%) in very good category, in less categories and in very few categories. From the results of observations, evaluations and reflections on each cycle action, it can be concluded that the use of demonstration methods can improve the ability of front rolling in class VII students of Makassar Middle School 24.
