Abstract


Abstrak. The problem studied in this research is how legal instruments protect personal data and how legal protection applies to the personal data of online loan debtors. This research aims to examine, analyze and explain how legal instruments in Indonesia relate to the protection of personal data, as well as explain how the legal protection of debtors who use online loan services is. It is hoped that the results of the discussion and analysis of this research can provide education and affirmation of the importance of personal data and also provide a description of not abusing personal data. The researcher uses a qualitative approach with a descriptive analytical research method, which studies the research object as a whole so that it can reveal and understand the truth about the object. Based on this analysis, it is hoped that it can describe the researcher's perceptions comprehensively and produce descriptive qualitative data descriptions. The research results show that the protection of personal data of online loan debtors can be carried out with the legal instruments of the PDP Law, ITE Law, Civil Code, Criminal Code and POJK, as well as administrative, civil and criminal legal action.
