Abstract
Abstrak. Masa remaja merupakan bagian dari kehidupan seseorang di mana mereka beralih dari masa kecil ke masa dewasa. Tugas perkembangan yang harus dilakukan remaja dapat menimbulkan tekanan atau stres bagi mereka. Fenomena ini dapat menyebabkan emosi negatif, dan remaja cenderung melakukan perilaku untuk meringankan stres. Selain itu, gangguan mental emosional adalah salah satu masalah kesehatan yang paling banyak dialami oleh remaja Tujuan penelitian ini adalah menguji skala Strengths and difficulties sebagai alat yang valid dan reliabel dalam mengukur kesehatan mental remaja. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode kuantatif, di mana dari 334 siswa yang mengisi skala, hanya 299 siswa yang memenuhi kriteria yang terdiri dari 97 laki-laki dan 202 perempuan. Hasil dari penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa uji reliabilitas dengan menggunakan Cronbach Alpha menunjukkan nilai reliabilitas pada aspek Strengths (Pro-sosial) berupa 0,675, sedangkan pada aspek Difficulties (Hiperaktivitas, masalah emosional, conduct problem, dan masalah dengan teman sebaya) sebesar 0,705. Adapun uji validitas dengan menggunakan analisis butir pada aspek Strengths menunjukkan bahwa nilai daya diskriminasi dari masing-masing aitem bergerak dari angka 0,391 hingga 0,503. Dengan demikian, Strengths and difficulties-Self report (SDQ-SR) dapat digunakan untuk mengukur tingkat kesehatan mental yang dimiliki oleh remaja.
