Abstract
Abstrak. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menguji peran dan pengaruh kecerdasan budaya dan fleksibilitas kognitif dalam hubungan antara karakteristik konselor yang efektif dan kompetensi konseling multikultural konselor di Sulawe Selatan. Jenis penelitian menggunakan jenis penelitian deskriptif kuantitatif. Metode penelitian ini adalah survey heart didistribusikan dan diisi secara online pada guru BK di sekolah yang berada di Sulawesi Selatan sebanyak 151 guru BK. Teknik pengumpulan data yang akan digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah Angket. Angket yang digunakan yakni The Effective Counsellor Characteristics Assessment Scale (ECCAS; İkiz & Totan, 2014); The Multicultural Counselling Competencies Scale (MCCS; Özer, 2014); The Cultural Intelligence Scale (CIS; Ang et al., 2007); The Cultural Flexibility Inventory (CFI; Dennis & Vander Wal, 2010). Dalam penelitian ini teknik analisis data yang dipakai adalah statistik deskriptif, analisis SEM Structural. Dan menggunakan analisis korelasi product moment untuk menguji model hipotesis yang dikembangkan Hasil Penelitian ini menemukan bahwa fleksibilitas kognitif dan kecerdasan budaya memainkan peran pengaruh dalam hubungan antara karakteristik konselor yang efektif dan kompetensi konseling multikultural
