Abstract
Abstrak. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui Gambaran Persistensi dan Harapan akademik siswa dilihat dari factor demografi dan Hubungan persistensi dan Harapan akademik siswa serta factor-faktor yang mempengaruhi persistensi dan harapan akademik siswa. Jenis penelitian ini menggunakan penelitian deskriptif kuantitatif. Sampel penelitian yakni siswa SMA/SMK Sederajat yang berjumlah 430 siswa. Instrumen penelitian menggunakan angket Skala Persistensi akademik mengacu pada Constantin, Holman, dan Hojbota (2012 ) dan Skala Harapan akademik mengacu pada Hope Scale (Snyder, 1994). Analisis data yang digunakan menggunakan analisis deskriptif dan ANOVA. Hasil Penelitian menunjukkan bahwa persistensi akademik siswa berada pada kategori tinggi, terutama pada aspek tujuan jangka panjang, tujuan saat ini, dan tujuan yang tidak tercapai. Siswa cenderung memiliki kemampuan untuk tetap berkomitmen pada pengembangan diri dan fokus pada tujuan mereka, meskipun menghadapi kesulitan. Harapan akademik siswa juga berada pada kategori tinggi, menunjukkan siswa memiliki aspirasi yang kuat untuk mencapai prestasi akademik yang tinggi. Hasil penelitian ini menggaris bawahi pentingnya persistensi akademik dan harapan akademik dalam meraih kesuksesan akademik. Faktor-faktor seperti usia siswa dan aspek tujuan saat ini memainkan peran penting dalam tingkat persistensi mereka. Oleh karena itu, pendekatan pembelajaran dan dukungan psikososial yang mempertimbangkan perbedaan ini dapat membantu meningkatkan persistensi dan harapan akademik siswa, memungkinkan mereka meraih potensi akademiknya dengan lebih baik.
