Abstrak – Telah dilakukan penelitian dengan mengembangkan modul pembelajaran Fisika berbasis problem solving pada materi Fisika Atom. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan hasil pengembangan modul pembelajaran Fisika berbasis problem solving yang valid. Selain itu, untuk menganalisis efektivitas modul yang telah dikembangkan dengan member kuesioner kepada mahasiswa dan dosen mengenai persepsi mereka terhadap modul pembelajaran fisika. Penelitian ini merupakan Research & Development yang menggunakan model 4D yang dikembangkan oleh Thiagarajan, Semmel dan Semmel (1974:5). Modul yang telah dikembangkan kemudian diuji coba pada mahasiswa semester V Program Studi Pendidikan Fisika Universitas Kristen Indonesia Toraja. Data dikumpulkan melalui kuisioner, tes kognitif, dan wawancara. Data kemudian dianalisis menggunakan pendekatan kuantitatif dan kualitatif deskriptif. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa modul pembelajaran fisika yang telah dikembangkan dapat mendorong mahasiswa untuk berpikir kritis melalui pendekatan problem solving dan dinyatakan valid. Selain itu, baik mahasiswa maupun dosen Universitas Kristen Indonesia Toraja memiliki respon yang positif terhadap modul pembelajaran fisika yang telah dikembangkan.

Abstract – Research has been conducted by developing problem solving based physics learning modules on Atomic Physics material. This study aims to describe the results of the development of a valid physics based problem solving learning module. In addition, to analyze the effectiveness of the modules that have been developed by giving questionnaires to students and lecturers about their perceptions of the physics learning module. This research is a Research & Development that uses the 4D model developed by Thiagarajan, Semmel and Semmel (1974:5). The developed module was then tested on the fifth semester students of the Physical Education Study Program at the Indonesian Christian University of Toraja. Data was collected through questionnaires, cognitive tests, and interviews. Data were then analyzed using quantitative and qualitative descriptive approaches. The results showed that the physics learning module that was developed could encourage students to think critically through problem solving approaches and be declared valid. In addition, both students and lecturers at the Indonesian Christian University of Toraja have a positive response to the physics learning modules that have been developed.
