Abstract


Abstract:     The objective of this study was to determine the effect of supplementation thephytase from Bukholderia sp. Strain HF.7 in feed on the broiler’s carcass weight and internal organs percentages. This study used 36 broiler with maintenance for 5 weeks. The experimental feed given to the broiler was P1 = basal feed without supplementation of phytase, P2 = Basal feed + 750 FTU phytase and P3 = commercial feed on starter phase and finisher phase. The variables measured were carcass weight and percentage of internal organs (liver, heart, gizzard, lymph). The method used in this research was the experimental method using Completely Randomized Design with three treatments and four replications (each replication consists of three broilers), with Duncan Multiple Range Test as further test. The result showed that of phytase supplementation in feed had a very significant effect on carcass weight (P <0.01), but did not affect the percentage of internal organs (liver, heart, gizzard, and lymph). This indicates that the addition phytase of Bukholderia sp. strains HF. 7 at 750 FTU/ kg of feed may increase carcass weight as with commercial feeding, although there is no increase in liver, heart, gizzard, and caeca percentage.
