Abstract


Abstract: This research is a descriptive correlational research that aims to know the correlation between learning styles and biology learning outcomes of students. The population in this study is all students of class XI MIA SMAN 11 Makassar, sample of research is 155 people. Data collection was conducted in March of academic year 2017/2018. Data of learning styles obtained using survey method with questionnaire and biology learning outcomes obtained from teacher. Data of learning styles and biology learning outcomes analyzed using descriptive statistics, while correlation between learning styles and biology learning outcomes of student obtained using Pearson Product Moment in SPSS. The results showed that: (1) the dominant learners had verbal learning style with the percentage of 30.32%, (2) the dominant learners had high learning achievement in the high category with the percentage of 49.7%, (3) there is a relation between learning styles and biology learning outcomes of student’s class XI MIA SMAN 11 Makassar.
