Pengaruh Kecerdasan Emosional dan Pengetahuan Lingkungan terhadap Pengelolaan Sampah pada Masyarakat Nelayan di Kecamatan Bangkala Kabupaten Jeneponto

Abstract

The research aims to determine the direct and indirect effects of emotional intelligence and environmental knowledge on waste management in community Fishermen in Bangkala District, Jeneponto Regency. The independent variables include emotional intelligence (X1), environmental knowledge (X2), and the dependent variable is waste management (Y). The research population was 2102 fishing communities, while the sample was 96 fishermen in Bangkala District. The research instrument used tests, questionnaires, and observations. Data analysis techniques are descriptive analysis and inferential analysis. The results of the inferential analysis obtained that there is an influence of emotional intelligence, and environmental knowledge on waste management in fishing communities in Bangkala District, Jeneponto Regency. The effective contribution of emotional intelligence, and environmental knowledge to waste management is 20,5% and the remaining 79,5%.
