Abstract


This research is a preliminary study to analysis the development needs of students’ worksheets based on scientific approach in cell division concept. This type of research is qualitative descriptive research. The research data were collected by survey using questionnaire to gathered teacher’s responses on the needs of students worksheets and handout in cell division teaching. Data processing based on qualitative method. The results show that: (1) The completeness of students learning outcomes in cell division concept is still relatively low, (2) Teachers need students worksheets and handout to support the achievement of learning objectives, (3) Scientific approach is applicable in teaching cell division concept. Therefore, the teaching process of cell division concept needs students worksheets and handout using scientificapproach.
