Abstract


Abstract. This research included correlation research, aims to know the correlation of learning styles based on information gathering, social behaviour and expressiveness on student biology learning outcomes. The research instrument is a learning style questionnaire from CITE (Center Innovative Teaching Experience) and documentation of biology learning outcomes for students' cognitive assessment in the odd semester of the academic year 2014/2015. The population in this study were students science of SMA Negeri 1 Pangkajene about 501 students. Determination of samples as many as 222 students by Slovin formula and sampling by stratified simple random sampling method. Data were analyzed inferentially by the chi-square test. The results showed that there is no correlation between the learning style based on the gathering of information and the expressiveness on students' biology learning outcomes SMA Negeri 1 Pangkajene. However, there is a relationship between learning styles based on the type of social behaviour on the students' biology learning outcomes SMA Negeri 1 Pangkajene.
