Analisis Fitokimia Ekstrak Tumbuhan Poikilospermum suaveolens

Abstract

ABSTRACT
This research was conducted to analyze the phytochemical content of the plant extract Poikilospermum suaveolens. The leaves of P. suaveolens were extracted using two types of solvents, namely 70% ethanol and ethyl acetate by maceration method. The extract results obtained were then carried out a qualitative phytochemical analysis of the content of alkaloids, flavonoids, tannins, saponins, triterpenoids and steroids. The results showed that 70% ethanol extract contained flavonoids, saponins, tannins and triterpenoids. Meanwhile, the ethyl acetate extract detected tannins and triterpenoids. The existence of these compounds qualitatively provides information that P. suaveolens plant extracts have the potential to be developed into natural sources of basic ingredients in the pharmaceutical field.
