Abstract


Abstract: The 2013 curriculum guides students to think critically and think creatively in the face of problems given. The ability to think critically and creatively is a cognitive ability that needs to be developed in classroom learning activities. Learning activities are designed and implemented by facilitating students to experience critical and creative thinking activities or often referred to as part of high order thinking skills. The ability of higher order thinking (HOTS) is a thinking process that is not just memorizing and returning information that is known, but the ability to connect, manipulate, and transform the knowledge and experience that has been owned to think critically and creatively in an effort to determine decisions. and solve problems in new situations. Student worksheets are learning tools that can be used to involve students in various activities during the learning process. Student worksheets contain stimuli in the form of pictures and questions to train high order thinking skills students. This study aims to develop student worksheets based on higher order thinking skills (HOTS) on biology subjects in class X SMAN 1 Masamba. The method used in this research is Research and Development (R & D) with a 4-D development model (Four D Model) which includes Define, Design, Develop, and Disseminate. The results of this study are in the form of student worksheets containing images and questions that can train the ability of high order thinking skills students. The development of higher order thinking skills based worksheets is expected to be a facility to train the ability of high order thinking skills students in class X of SMAN 1 Masamba.
