Abstract


Abstract: This study aims to find out (1). General description of Mamajang I Elementary Inpres Elementary School Makassar City (2) Description of the integration of students 'character values in social studies learning in class IV Mamajang I Elementary Inpres Elementary School Makassar, (3) Form of assessment of students' character values in social studies learning in class IV Inpres Mamajang I Elementary School Makassar, (4) Supporting and inhibiting factors of integrating character values in social studies learning in class IV Ina Mamaangang I Elementary School Makassar. This type of research is descriptive qualitative. In collecting data, researchers act as research instruments. Data obtained through two sources, namely informants and documents. Data collection techniques are done through observation, interviews, assessment of learning processes and documentation. Data validation is done by data credibility test (internal validity), transferability test (external validity), dependability test (reliability) and confirmability test (objectivity). The results of the study revealed that: (1) Integration of character values in social studies learning in class IV was carried out in the first few stages, in the initial activity it was to cultivate prayer before learning. The character values that appear are religious. Second, in the core activities, the character values that emerge are the values of curiosity and friendship, Third, the teacher closes the lesson by reading prayers. The character values that emerge are religious  (2) The form of evaluating character values in social studies learning is based on predetermined indicators are indicators for the value of curiosity, discipline, responsibility, and care for the environment. (3) Supporting factors are due to the existence of the same paradigm and commitment between the principal and the teacher regarding the integration of character values in learning while the inhibiting factor for integrating character values is the lack of high self-awareness from students, lack of parents' attention still do not fully understand the importance of the support of parents in building their children's character at home, the creativity of teachers in developing learning media is still limited because the preparation of media every day requires a lot of time, energy and thought.
