Abstract


Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis kesalahan mahasiswa dalam menyelesaikan masalah luas dan keliling bidang datar pada mata kuliah Geometri dan Pembelajarannya. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan deskriptif kuantitatif. Subjek penelitian adalah 25 mahasiswa semester empat Prodi Pendidikan Guru Sekolah Dasar Universitas Negeri Makassar tahun akademik 2019-2020. Instrumen penelitian ini adalah soal formatif tertulis pada topik geometri yang dianalisis menggunakan analisis kesalahan Newman. Berdasarkan hasil analisis data diperoleh kesimpulan bahwa mahasiswa melakukan (1) kesalahan memahami soal sebesar 24%, (2) kesalahan transformasi soal sebesar 54,67%; (3) kesalahan keterampilan proses sebesar 88% dan (4) kesalahan penulisan jawaban akhir sebesar 89,33%. Dari penelitian ini ditemukan kesalahan jawaban pada semua pertanyaan. Ini menunjukkan bahwa sebagian besar mahasiswa memiliki kesalahan konsep pada topik keliling dan luas bangun datar. Oleh karena itu, diperlukan strategi pembelajaran yang tepat yang dapat membantu mahasiswa memahami konsep geometri.
