Abstract

This study aims to analyze the effect of Project-Based Learning (PBL) on student learning achievement, focusing on improving academic understanding, social skills, and creativity. PBL is a learning approach that prioritizes student engagement in real projects that demand the application of knowledge to solve real-world problems. The method used in this research is a literature review, where the authors analyze and compare findings from various studies on PBL and learning achievement. The analysis results show that PBL can significantly improve student learning achievement, both in cognitive and non-cognitive aspects, such as increased self-efficacy and collaboration skills. PBL not only helps students master the subject matter but also develops skills that are important for everyday life and the professional world. This study also identified challenges in PBL implementation, such as limited resources and teacher readiness. Nonetheless, the benefits gained from implementing PBL are far more significant, so this approach is highly recommended for integration into the education system. Further research is recommended to explore the impact of PBL across different educational contexts and subjects.
