Abstract


This research is a classroom action research. The approach used in this study is a descriptive qualitative approach, which aims to describe the application of the Index Cart Match active cooperative learning model in improving science learning outcomes for fourth grade students at SDN 17 Bila, Lalabata District, Soppeng Regency. The focus of this research is the application of the Index Cart Match active cooperative learning model and the improvement of science earning outcomes. The setting for this research is SDN 17 Bila, Lalabata District, Soppeng Regency for the 2021/2022 Academic Year. The subjects of this research were class IV students. The number of research subjects was 25 students, consisting of 13 female students and 12 male students. Data collection techniques are observation, tests and documentation. The data analysis technique is a quantitative and qualitative approach. The results showed that there was an increase in both teacher and student activities as well as learning outcomes in science subjects from cycle I with Enough qualifications (C) increased to Good qualifications (B) in cycle II. The conclusion of the study is that the application of the Index Cart Match active cooperative learning model can improve the science learning outcomes of fourth grade students at SDN 17 Bila, Lalabata District, Soppeng Regency.
