Abstract


Abstract. This research is a classroom action research which consists of two cycles. The aim of this research was to obtain the data on the auction of skills of writing simple sentences in German for students grade X at SMAN 1 Maros through picture story medium. The research subjects were the X IPS 2 class students, a total of 31 people. This research was a class action research consisting of two cycles. There were two types of data from this research, they are qualitative and quantitative. The qualitative data were obtained from the observations, while quantitative data were obtained from the simple German sentences in Cycles I and II. The data were obtained with an average score of 81.71 in the first cycle and 85.98 in the second cycle. This means that the picture story medium can increase the writing of simple sentences in German for students in grade X at SMAN 1 Maros
