Model Pembelajaran SIRI: Solusi dalam Memberdayakan Penguasaan Konsep Mahasiswa Biologi

Abstract


Penguasaan konsep penting untuk dihadirkan pada diri mahasiswa, sehingga perlu perlakuan yang tepat dalam mewujudukan hal tersebut. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk melihat pengaruh model pembelajaran SIRI dalam memberdayakan prestasi belajar mahasiswa. Penelitian eksperimental ini dilakukan dengan desain kelompok kontrol nonequivalent pretest-posttest yang melibatkan 99 mahasiswa biologi di Universitas Negeri Makassar. Data dikumpulkan menggunakan soal pilihan ganda yang terdiri dari 45 soal, dan dianalisis secara deskriptif dan inferensial. Temuan penelitian menunjukkan bahwa terdapat pengaruh model pembelajaran SIRI terhadap penguasaan konsep mahasiswa biologi. Hasil Uji LSD menunjukkan bahwa penguasaan konsep kelas SIRI berbeda significant dengan kelas TSTS dan kelas Konvensional. Disimpulkan model pembelajaran SIRI dapat memberdayakan tumbuhnya penguasaan konsep mahasiswa.
