PENGGUNAAN ISTILAH COVID-19 DALAM MENULIS PUISI AKROSTIK PADA SISWA KELAS VIII SMPN 38 MAKASSAR

Abstract


The Use Of The Term Covid-19 In Writing Acrostic Poetry For Student Of Class VIII In Junior High School 38 Makassar. This quantitative study aims to describe the mastery of using the term covid-19 and to describe the mastery of writing acrostic poetry using the term covid-19. The population in this study were all class VIII SMPN 38 Makassar as many as 3 classes totaling 91 students, while the samples were class VIII A as many as 19, class VIII B as many as 18, and class VIII C students as many as 11 people, the total sample was 48 students. The research data were obtained by giving tests in the form of interpreting 46 covid-19 terms and making acrostic poetry using one of the terms covid-19 as a reference. Data analysis techniques are viewed from the number of percentage scores achieved by students. Based on the results of the 2 tests given, it can be concluded that in the covid-19 term mastery test, 35 of 48 students lacked mastery of the use of the term covid-19 if a percentage of 72.91% was in the less mastered category, while in writing acrostic poetry it was concluded that as many as 52.08% of students are in the category of enough master in writing acrostic poetry using the term covid-19.
