Abstract


Aggressive behavior is a physical or non-physical action towards other people that is disturbing and harmful for another. Aggressive behavior that appears in children is usually like  hitting, throwing, scolding and including self-harm too. One of the factors causing this behavior is the application of inappropriate parenting styles for children. So the purpose of this study was to provide education to parents and social workers at UPT PPRSA Inang Matutu regarding parenting style and aggressive child handling. Participants who took part in this workshop activity were attended by 36 participants consisting of parents and social workers at Inang matutu. The method that used in this study were pre test-post test design, knowledge sharing, including question and answer session. Data analysis technique for the pre test-post test results used descriptive statistics using the T test teqhniques to see how significant the increase of participants knowledge before and after education. The results show a sig value of 0.000 <0.05, so there is a significant difference knowledge of the participants before and after the workshop activities.
