Penerapan Metode Diskusi Berkelanjutan pada Mata Pelajaran Kimia untuk Meningkatkan Keaktifan dan Hasil Belajar Siswa Kelas XI IPA6 SMA Negeri 11 Makassar

Abstract

Penelitian ini adalah Penelitian Tindakan Kelas yang bertujuan untuk mengetahui bagaimana langkah penerapan metode diskusi berkelanjutan untuk meningkatkan keaktifan dan hasil belajar siswa kelas XI IPA₆ SMA Negeri 11 Makassar. Dilakukan dua siklus masing-masing dengan tiga kali pertemuan, setiap siklus terdiri dari tahap perencanaan, tindakan, observasi evaluasi dan refleksi. Pengumpulan data menggunakan lembar observasi aktivitas siswa dan tes hasil belajar yang dianalisis secara kuantitatif dan analisis deskriptif. Metode diskusi berkelanjutan dilakukan dengan menggunakan langkah-langkah sebagai berikut: (a) menyiapkan semua peralatan yang akan digunakan di dalam kelas, (b) membagi siswa dalam beberapa kelompok, tiap kelompok terdiri dari 3-5 orang secara acak dan tiap kelompok memiliki ketua kelompok, (c) tiap kelompok di beri topik atau meteri yang telah disusun oleh pengajar sesuai tujuan yang ingin dicapai, (d) memberi kesempatan tiap kelompok untuk mempresentasikan hasil diskusi kelompoknya, (e) menunjuk satu kelompok sebagai klompok penyanggah dalam tiap diskusi (bertugas menyanggah hasil diskusi oleh kelompok pemateri), (f) menunjuk satu orang sebagai moderator untuk mengarahkan jalannya diskusi, (g) kelompok yang belum dapat giliran merupakan kelompok peserta yang punya hak berkomentar, menyanggah, dan berpendapat sesuai permasalahan dalam diskusi nantinya dan (h) permasalahan yang belum terselesaikan dilanjutkan diluar kelas untuk didiskusikan tiap kelompok sebagai bahan tugas, dan memeriksa jurnal kegiatan pembelajaran klompok yang ditulis oleh ketua kelompok. Hasil Penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa penerapan langkah-langkah metode diskusi berkelanjutan dapat meningkatkan keaktifan dan hasil belajar siswa dari siklus I ke siklus II.

ABSTRACT

This research is a classroom action research that aims to known how the implementation steps of continuous discussion method to improve the activity and learning outcomes of the students class IPA₆ SMAN 11 Makassar. The research was conducted by two cycles where each cycle consists of a planning phase, action phase, observation and evaluation / reflection phase consisted two cycles with three of meetings. Collecting data using observation of student activity sheets and analyzed qualitatively. Ongoing discussion method is done using the following steps: (a) Prepare all equipment that will be used in the classroom.                                    (b) Divide students into groups, each group consisting of 3-5 people at random and each group has a group leader (c) Each group is given a topic or meteri which has been prepared by teachers of appropriate objectives to be achieved. (d) Provide an opportunity for each group to present the material from the group's discussion. (e) Designate one group as in any discussion klompok buffer (buffer group served to refute the results of the group discussion by presenters). (f) Designate one person as the moderator or direct the course of the discussion. (g) The group has not been able to turn to a group of participants who had the right to comment, argue, argue later in the discussion of each issue. (h) The problems that have not been complished continued outside the classroom for discussion by the group as a task, the learning activities journal written by the chairman of the group. Require the nature and content of the conversation does not stray from the subject. Take note of the things that you think teachers should be immediately corrected that lets students do not realize the wrong opinion. By applying the measures sustainable methods of discussion and activities to increase student learning outcomes from the first cycle to the second cycle.
