Forgiveness of Elderly Parents Towards Families in Nursing Homes

Abstract


This study aims to obtain an overview of the forgiveness of elderly parents who are in nursing homes for their families. Research method used is a qualitative method with a phenomenological approach. This study involved five respondents by applying the respondent selection technique in the form of respondent criterium. The data collection technique is in-depth interviews with the type of open questions. Based on the research results, it can be concluded that the elderly need time to forgive their families who have entrusted them to a nursing home. The elderly parents introspect on their actions so far and the reason the family has put them in the nursing home is so that the elderly get more adequate care.
