Maybe some mothers have known that one of the characteristics of low platelets is the appearance of dengue fever. Well, actually low platelets not only trigger the disease, there are other health problems that may be experienced by the little one's body. That is why you need to maintain normal platelets to reduce the risk of your little one getting sick. However, before we discuss further about normal platelets, you should first understand what platelets are, come on!

What are Platelets?

Platelets, also known as platelets, are cells that are responsible for forming blood clots to stop bleeding. So, if one of the blood vessels in your baby's body is torn, then the blood vessel will send a signal to the platelets.

These platelets will then rush to the site of damage to form a clot, so that the blood can stop. Therefore, maintaining a normal platelet count is very important so that bleeding can stop properly.

Normal platelet counts can be found in the blood and spleen. These blood cells are colorless and have a life cycle of only 10 days. The body will renew the supply of platelets by producing new platelets in the bone marrow.
