The journal is welcome to collaboration with the conference organizers to publish papers are accepted in their conferences which represent ideas related to the EST journal. The Conference Papers (CP) section will not be refereed and will be edited by the conference editor. The papers will appear as a special issue in this journal.

Peer Review Process

Submitted papers are evaluated by anonymous referees by double blind peer review for contribution, originality, relevance, and presentation. The Editor shall inform you of the results of the review as soon as possible, hopefully between 1 - 2 months. Please notice that may be paper submissions to EST UNM the duration of the review process can be up to 3 months.

Reviewers examine the text of the aspects of quality and substance of the writing (not grammar texts), which includes the freshness, originality, usefulness and validity of citations and bibliography.

Reviewers received the manuscript double-blind review (anonymous author) of section editor or editorial secretariat. If it is not according to their competencies, the reviewer is entitled to refuse the manuscript and recommend it to others more competent reviewer. one article at least reviewed by a 2-3  reviewer.

Open Access Policy

EST UNM is a peer reviewed journal with open access. The article processing or delivery of the manuscript submitted to the manager or editor through an online system or by using the OJS Open Access publishing model.

In this publishing model, papers are peer-reviewed in the normal way under editorial control. The paper appears electronically and freely available fro
m our website. Authors can also use articles that have been published in pdf format either for non-commercial use on a personal website or non-commercial institutions. Users have the right to read, download, copy, distribute, print, search, or link to the full text of articles EST UNM

 

Archiving

EST UNM publications are deposited in multiple digital archives around the world to guarantee long­-term digital preservation.

These archives include:

  1. Indonesia one Search Perpusnas (National Library of the Indonesia)
  2. ISJD is an online directory database of Indonesian Lembaga 
  3. LOCKSS. This journal utilizes the LOCKSS system to create a distributed archiving system among participating libraries and permits those libraries to create permanent archives of the journal for purposes of preservation and restoration. More...

 

Publication Ethic

Publication and authorship 

  1. All submitted papers are subject to strict peer-review process by at least two international reviewers that are experts in the area of the particular paper.
  2. Review processareblind peer review.
  3. The factors that are taken into account inrevieware relevance, soundness, significance, originality, readabilityandlanguage.
  4. The possible decisions include acceptance, acceptance with revisions, or rejection.
  5. If authors are encouraged to revise and resubmit a submission, there is no guarantee that the revised submission will be accepted.
  6. Rejected articles will not be re-reviewed.
  7. The paper acceptance is constrained by such legal requirements as shall then be in force regarding libel, copyright infringementandplagiarism.
  8. No research can be included in more than one publication.

Responsibilities of editors

  1. Editors have complete responsibility and authority to reject/accept an article.
  2. Editors are responsible for the contents and overall quality of the publication.
  3. Editors should always consider the needs of the authors and the readers when attempting to improve the publication.
  4. Editors should guarantee the quality of the papers and the integrity of the academic record.
  5. Editors should publish errata pages or make corrections when needed.
  6. Editors should have a clear picture ofa research’sfunding sources.
  7. Editors should base their decisions solelyonethe papers’ importance, originality, clarityandrelevance to publication’s scope.
  8. Editors should not reverse their decisions nor overturn the ones of previous editors without serious reason.
  9. Editors should preserve the anonymity of reviewers.
  10. Editors should ensure that all research material they publish conforms to internationally accepted ethical guidelines.
  11. Editors should only accept a paper when reasonably certain.
  12. Editors should act if they suspect misconduct, whether a paper is published or unpublished, and make all reasonable attempts to persist in obtaining a resolution to the problem.
  13. Editors should not reject papers based on suspicions, they should have proof of misconduct.
  14. Editors should not allow any conflicts of interest between staff, authors, reviewersandboard members.

Responsibilities of the authors

  1. Authors must certify that their manuscripts are their original work.
  2. Authors must certify that the manuscript has not previously been published elsewhere.
  3. Authors must certify that the manuscript is not currently being considered for publication elsewhere. 
  4. Authors must participate in the peer review process. 
  5. Authors are obliged to provide retractions or corrections of mistakes.
  6. All Authors mentioned in the paper must have significantly contributed to the research.
  7. Authors must state that all data in the paper are real and authentic.
  8. Authors must notify the Editors of any conflicts of interest.
  9. Authors must identify all sources used in the creation of their manuscript.
  10. Authors must report any errors they discover in their published paper to the Editors.

    Responsibilities of the Reviewers
  1. Reviewers should keep all information regarding papers confidential and treat them as privileged information.
  2. Reviewers must review articles according to their field of expertise
  3. Reviews should be conducted objectively, with no personal criticism of the author
  4. Reviewers should express their views clearly with supporting arguments
  5. Reviewers should identify relevant published work that has not been cited by the authors.
  6. Reviewers should also call to the Editor in Chief’s attention any substantial similarity or overlap between the manuscript under consideration and any other published paper of which they have personal knowledge.
  7. Reviewers should not review manuscripts in which they have conflicts of interest resulting from competitive, collaborative, or other relationships or connections with any of the authors, companies, or institutions connected to the papers.
  8. The reviewer must provide recommendations on the results of the article review

Plagiarism

All work in the manuscript should be free of any plagiarism, falsification, fabrications, or omission of significant material, must have similarity level less than 20%.

Authors are expected to explicitly cite others' work and ideas, even if the work or ideas are not quoted verbatim or paraphrased. This standard applies whether the previous work is published, unpublished, or electronically available. Failure to properly cite the work of others may constitute plagiarism. Plagiarism in all its forms constitutes unethical publishing behavior and is unacceptable.

Retraction

 

he papers published in the EST UNM will be considered to retract in the publication if :

    They have clear evidence that the findings are unreliable, either as a result of misconduct (e.g. data fabrication) or honest error (e.g. miscalculation or experimental error)
    the findings have previously been published elsewhere without proper crossreferencing, permission or justification (i.e. cases of redundant publication)
    it constitutes plagiarism
    it reports unethical research

Withdrawal of Manuscripts

 

Withdrawal of Manuscripts

Author is not allowed to withdraw submitted manuscripts, because the withdrawal is waste of valuable resources that editors and referees spent a great deal of time processing submitted manuscript, and works invested by the publisher.

If author still requests withdrawal of his/her manuscript when the manuscript is still in the peer-reviewing process, author will be punished with paying $80 per manuscript, as withdrawal penalty to the publisher. However, it is unethical to withdraw a submitted manuscript from one journal if accepted by another journal.

The withdrawal of manuscript after the manuscript is accepted for publication, author will be punished by paying US$100 per manuscript. Withdrawal of manuscript is only allowed after withdrawal penalty has been fully paid to the Publisher. If author don't agree to pay the penalty, the author and his/her affiliation will be blacklisted for publication in this journal. Even, his/her previously published articles will be removed from our online system.

This journal charges the following author fees.

Article Submission: 0.00 (IDR)
Authors do not pay Article Submission Fees or Free as part of the submission process to contribute in reviewing costs.

Article Publication: 1.500.000.00 (IDR)
If this paper is accepted for publication, you will be asked to pay an Article Publication Fee to cover publication costs.
