The Relationship Between Parent’s Attention To The Learning Outcomes Of High Grade Students At SDN 4 Bila, Sidenreng Rappang Regency

Abstract


This research is a type of correlational research with a descriptive quantitative approach to determine whether there is a relationship between two or more variables without giving treatment to these variables. This study aims to (1) find out the description of the attention of parents of high grade students at SDN 4 Bila, Sidenreng Rappang Regency. (2) Knowing the description of the learning outcomes of high grade students at SDN 4 Bila, Sidenreng Rappang Regency. (3) Knowing the relationship between parental attention to high grade students' learning outcomes at SDN 4 Bila, Sidenreng Rappang Regency.  The population in this study is all the high grade students of grade IV, V and VI SDN 4 Bila, Sidenreng Rappang Regency which collected 53 students. The author determined that all high grade students of SDN 4 Bila, Sidenreng Rappang Regency were used as research subjects because the numbers were not too many, so this study included population research. Calculation of hypothesis testing using SPSS version 25 assistance program. Data collection techniques in this study were questionnaires/questionnaires and documentation. Before the analysis test is carried out, the analysis prerequisite tests are carried out, namely the normality test and the correlation test. The results showed that the description of parental attention to students was at a low point, and for the description of student learning outcomes was in the low category and there was a relationship between parental attention to student learning outcomes, this was shown by the normality test of parental attention data and student learning outcomes data were distributed normal. The results of the correlation test of parents' attention to student learning outcomes are at medium, which shows parental attention to student learning outcomes has a unidirectional relationship (positive correlation coefficient) so that the research hypothesis is accepted.
