Abstract


This study aims to determine (1) the high level of science literacy of VIII grade students of SMP Negeri 19 Makassar before and after the application of infographic learning media assisted by QR Code (2) the increase in science literacy of VIII grade students of SMP Negeri 19 Makassar after the application of infographic learning media assisted by QR Code (3) the increase in science literacy after the application of infographic learning media assisted by QR Code significantly (4) there is no difference in the science literacy of VIII grade students J and VIII K after the application of infographic media assisted by QR Code. The population of this study were all VIII grade students totaling 368 students. The sample of this study used random sampling of 58 students. Data analysis techniques are descriptive and inferential. The results showed: (1) the high level of science literacy before the application of the media is in the low category with an average value of 31.93 and after the application is in the low category with an average value of 67.24 (2) the increase in science literacy after application with N-Gain science literacy obtained is 0.52 is in the medium category (3) there is a significant increase in science literacy after the application of the media obtained tcount = 37.80> ttable = 1.67 (4) there is no significant difference in science literacy after the application of media in class VIII J and VIII K obtained a significance of 0.055.
