Abstract


This research aims to analyze; 1) how high was the science process skills of class VIII students at SMPN 24 Makassar on the Circulatory System Material, 2) how high was each indicator of the science process skills of class VIII students at SMPN 24 Makassar on the Circulatory System Material on Man. The population in this study were all students in class VIII of SMP Negeri 24 Makassar consisting of 10 classes totaling 317 students, the total sample was 177 students who were selected using the Slovin formula. The science process skills research instrument consists of 15 valid questions. Data were analyzed using descriptive statistics. Research resulted; 1) the indicator score for the science process skills of class VIII students at SMPN 24 Makassar on the Circulatory System material was 8.46, including the medium category, 2) the average score for each indicator of the students' science process skills: observing was 1, 24 medium categories; formulate a problem of 1.12 in the medium category; classifies 1.56 in the medium category; predicts 1.40 in the medium category;  communicating was 1.08 in the low category; formulate a hypothesis of 1.04 medium category and designed an experiment of 1.02 medium category.
