Abstract
This research aims to determine: (1) improving the critical thinking skills of class VIII students at SMP Negeri 15 Makassar who are taught using the problem-based learning model assisted by E-LKPD. (2) improving the critical thinking skills of class VIII students at SMP Negeri 15 Makassar who are taught using conventional learning models. (3) whether students' critical thinking skills after being taught using the problem-based learning model assisted by E-LKPD are higher than students who are taught using conventional learning models. This type of research is Quasi Experimental Design research and using Nonequivalent Control Group Design. The population of this study was all students in class VIII of SMP Negeri 15 Makassar. The sample was selected using the purposive sampling technique and assigned class VIII.A to 27 people and VIII.D to 27 people. The research instrument is critical thinking skills test questions in the form of descriptions. Data were analyzed with descriptive and inferential statistics. The research results concluded: (1) The critical thinking skills of class VIII students at SMP Negeri 15 Makassar who were taught using the problem-based learning model assisted by E-LKPD experienced an increase with an N-Gain score of 0.36 in the medium category. (2) The critical thinking skills of class VIII students at SMP Negeri 15 Makassar who were taught using conventional learning models obtained an N-Gain score of 0.25 in the low category. (3) the critical thinking skills of class VIII students at SMP Negeri 15 Makassar who were taught using the problem-based learning model assisted by E-LKPD were higher than students who were taught using conventional learning models.
