Abstract


This study aims to determine: 1) the level of students' science learning outcomes before the implementation of video tutorial media, 2) the level of students' science learning outcomes after the implementation of video tutorial media, 3) the improvement of students' science learning outcomes using video tutorial media, 4) significant increase in science learning outcomes of students after the implementation of video tutorial media. This type of research is a pre-experimental design with a one group pretest-posttest design. The population in this study were all 179 students in class IX at SMP Nasional Makassar for the 2021/2022 school year, the sample was 32 students selected by purposive sampling. The research instrument used was a test of learning outcomes. Data collection was carried out by giving a pretest and posttest. Data were analyzed with descriptive and inferential statistics. The results of the data analysis showed that: 1) the science learning outcomes of class IX students of SMP Nasional Makassar before the implementation of the video tutorial media had an average score of 9.13 in the low category, 2) the science learning outcomes of class IX students of SMP Nasional Makassar after the implementation of the media video tutorials have an average score of 19.17 in the high category, 3) increase in science learning outcomes for class IX students of SMP Nasional Makassar after the implementation of video tutorial media has an average score of 0.49 in the medium category, 4) there is an increase in results Significantly learning science for class IX students at Makassar National Middle School after the implementation of video tutorial media.
