Abstract


Adversity Quotient (AQ) is size or standard used to
determine the level of someone’s ability in cope with and
survive against life’s problems and challenges. The ability to
face all the difficulties is a process to build a personal
development and potency, as well as to achieve goals.
Adversity Quotient is intelligence possessed someone in
overcoming difficulties and able to survive. Adversity
Quotient is intelligence that arises because of pressure,
difficulty and suffering. Stoltz argued that there are three
forms that can be translated from the Adversity Quotient as a
measurement of adversity intelligence, which is a conceptual
framework in conducting the formulation to understand and
improve success. It is a measure for knowing individuals
response patterns against difficulties and challenges, and the
series of skills that can be used in order to achieve a better
response in dealing with problems.
