Abstract
The purpose of this study is to solve the problem
faced by English teachers in Makassar in improving their
knowledge and skill in teaching through communicative
grammar teaching training. This training involves English
teachers in Makassar private junior high schools. They are
trained by experts from university and language centre who are
also the experienced trainers. This training held in 16 meetings
at British Course Makassar. The result of this training shows
that 1) the English teachers able to implement the Teaching
Grammar Communicatively learning model, 2) the learning
module of Teaching Grammar Communicatively is feasible for
other junior high schools, 3) the participation level of the
teachers in this training is high viewed from their attendance
and being active in doing their tasks.
