Pelatihan pembuatan briket tempurung kelapa pada masyarakat petani di Kabupaten Bulukumba

Abstract

The problem faced by the farming community in the
Tugondeng Village, Herlang District, Bulukumba Regency
was that they did not have the knowledge and skills to process
the coconut shell. The coconut shell is abundant in Tugondeng
village area and it can be an alternative fuel briquette, which
has high economic value. If this potential is managed properly,
it will be able to lift the economy of the local farming
community. The approach taken in this program was to
provide training in the form of lectures and direct
demonstrations on how to process coconut shells into
briquettes, discussions and question, and answer sessions with
the community members regarding the things needed by
trainees related to the manufacture of briquettes, including
how to market them. The PKM output is coconut shell
briquettes that can meet the fuel needs of the local community,
and can even be exported overseas.
