Abstract

Efforts to maintain orphanage must always be done continuously. Some of the reasons underlying this include:
increasing number of orphanages and occupants with various
backgrounds. Orphanage financing still relies on donors and
the government. On the other hand, not a few of the residents
are in the productive age category, so it is possible they can
finance themselves. Providing technical skills and building
entrepreneurial spirit is one of the solutions undertaken by
UNM's team of devotees at the Miftahul Khair orphanage and
Mattappawalie Orphanage in Makassar City. The results
obtained from this activity is the administrator assisted in
preparing the future of the inhabitants. The skills of the
participants increased in repairing and maintenance of
household electronics. Besides, they feel confident to open
business after this activity
