Abstract

Maros Regency is one of the districts in South
Sulawesi Province which has natural potential in the form of
beautiful mountains, beaches, stretches of karst and exotic
archaeological sites. This potential makes this area rich in

international tourist destinations. One tourist attraction that is
visited by tourists is Bantimurung natural tourism.
Bantimurung tourist area is a prime tourist area in South
Sulawesi. As Bantimurung's mainstay tourist area, it offers a
variety of interesting tourist attractions such as a flowing
waterfall, river flow with rocky edges flanked by steep cliffs,
flying fox and also interesting is the attraction of butterflies
with various colors. This also caused Bantimurung to be
known internationally with the nickname "The Kingdom of
Butterfly. According to BPPS data in 2017, the number of
foreign tourists entering South Sulawesi was 1491, 69.88%

the number of visits, the Maros regency government earns 2.5
Million in annual income. The government is optimistic to
increase the revenue by fixing the tourism area both in terms
of facilities and its infrastructure and human resources. Human
Resources whose potential must be developed are traders of
souvenirs, culinary and other, so that they can at least sell and
offer their trade in German and can even become local guides
